About TikTok

Summary
TikTok is a fun and engaging social app. However, this doesn’t stop The UX Vigilantes from reviewing its pros & cons, plus sharing cool user interface design ideas to make it better much better! Join us! The Chinese created TikTok with its addictive 3-60 second comedy and music-related videos that bring in millions, and sometimes billions of views has taken the world by storm with the most downloads of any app for Q1 2019 on the Apple app store. It currently holds a firm place in popular culture, but is it just another SNAPCHAT, Instagram, or Vine? Or is it something special? Our UXV’s felt TikTok was a great place to provide feedback about the good, the bad, and the ugly.
TikTok isn’t original, but it is fun and has an overall great user experience by providing quick videos. But, TikTok is augmenting a lot of features and generating mistakes in UI like hierarchy and navigation consistency. Let’s not forget their sneaky spying!!
TikTok is an Entertaining way to waste a couple of minutes, but the spying, and the dangerous challenges that others follow, gives me a bad taste in my mouth.
Tik Tok is definitely groundbreaking in terms of content, creation, and worldwide users. I hope future apps that take inspiration from it will be more conscious with their data security and user’s privacy
The app is great, if you want to find some recipes, have some laughs, or have to scroll multiple times to catch something you missed in a previous video, endless hours of fun, however it has some security and tracking issues.
Despite the spying, tik tok is very entertaining and user friendly. It’s a great way to pass the time and have a good laugh
